アパートに警察が

昨日の夕方

同じアパートのどこかで４歳くらいの男の子が叫んでいる声が聞こえました

Yesterday evening,

I heard a boy about 4 years old screaming somewhere in the same apartment.

英語だったので何て叫んでいたのか分かりませんでしたが、「マミー！！・・・・」と連呼していたので、子どもが親から叱られて大泣きしているのかと思いました

I didn't know what he was screaming because it was in English, He shouted "Mummy !! ..." many times, so I wondered if the child was scolded by his parents and weeping.

約１０分後、警察が登場

About 10 minutes later, some Police officers appeared...

どうやら誰かが通報したようです

Apparently someone called.

現場は同じ階だったようで、廊下をチラッと覗いてみると警察４人と誰か話していました

The scene seemed to be on the same floor, and when I glanced down the hallway, I saw someone talking to four police officers.

警察官の一人と目があったので、あまりジロジロ見るのはいけないと思って、すぐに部屋に戻りましたが、、、、

Since I had an eye with one of the police officers, I thought I shouldn't look too much and returned to my room immediately...

アメリカは幼児虐待に厳しいため、すぐに通報されると聞いていましたが、まさかこんな近くで目撃するなんて・・・

I heard that in the United States, child abuse was severe, so someone was immediately notified....I didn't expect to witness it so close ...

今回の原因は不明ですが、夫婦喧嘩でも通報されるらしいので気を付けたいです
