猫ちゃんのベッドに白ゴマのようなものが
数個落ちているのを発見Σ（・□・；）
Last Thursday
I found several things like white sesame on my cat's bed.
何か思ってネットで調べてみたら
なんと・・・寄生虫の卵！！
猫ちゃんのお腹のなかに
瓜実条虫というサナダ虫がいるらしい
I wanted to know what they were
What a parasite egg! !
There seems to be Dipylidium caninum
called Sanada insect in the stomach of my cat.
でも・・・
However,,,,
２週間前の予防接種のついでに
動物病院で虫下しの薬を飲んだばかりなのに
こんなことってあるの？？
She had just taken a strong deworming at the animal clinic two weeks before while she was on taking a vaccination.
Is there something like this? ?
かかりつけの動物病院に
電話で聞くのは私には難しいので
メールで質問することにしました
I asked that to her animal clinic by email,
because it was difficult for me to call by phone.
返信を読んでみると
「獣医は猫のために薬をピックアップする必要があり、
２つのオプションがあると言っています
１つ目は、ジェル状の薬を猫の首あたりにつける
２つ目は、飲み薬です」とのこと
I read this reply from the animal clinic,
"Dr. A recommends to have medication picked up for Rina. There are two options. One option is a topical medication, a gel to put on her fur. The second option is a liquid medication that is given by mouth."
ネットで調べたら
その瓜実条虫を駆除する薬は
ペットショップでも買えるようで・・・
When I checked online,
I found that the Worms-killing medications can be bought at a pet shop.
ピックアップって
picked up means,,,,,,
自分たちで薬を購入する、ってこと？
それとも動物病院に来るのが前提で
２つのオプションどちらにしますか？って言ってるのかな？
Is it that we buy medicine?
Or are they talking to us two options on the assumption that we come to there?
英語って難しい・・・

夫と相談して
２週間前にも虫下しをしているし
勝手に薬を購入して飲ませて
猫ちゃんの体調が悪くなったら可哀そうなので
動物病院に行くことにしました
I talked with my husband.
She had been taken it two weeks ago
If we buy the medication on our own
and let her take it, it will be sad if the cat becomes ill.
We decided to take her to the animal hospital.
そして今日、動物病院へ
And today
We went to the animal clinic.
診察室に入るとすぐに体重測定がありました
She was weighed as soon as we entered the exam room.
４パウンド（1.8㎏）もあり
看護師さんに「ワォ～」と言われました
Her weight was 4 pounds (about 1.8Kg),
so the nurse was surprised and said "Wow".
3ヶ月の理想体重は1.0～1.5kgのようで
ちょっと太り気味だったようです(笑)
The ideal weight of 3 months after birth seems to be 1.0 to 1.5 kg,
she seems to be a little fat
獣医さんに
念のため持って来ていた
白ゴマのような物を見せると
やはり寄生虫の卵だったようで
獣医さんに虫下しの錠剤を勧められました
When we showed something like white sesame that we brought just in case to the Vet, it seemed to be an egg of a parasite, and the vet recommended an insect pill.
錠剤を見てみると
子猫にしては大きい（・□・；）
When we saw the pill,
we thought it was too big for the kitten.
獣医さんが
猫の口を開けて奥に入れたのですが
吐き出して飲まず・・・
何回かして、やっと飲み込むことができました
The vet opened the cat's mouth and put it in, but she spit it out and couldn't drink it.
And he repeated it several times, and finally she was able to swallow it.
そして２週間後にまた同じ薬を
自宅で飲ませるようにと言われました
And, the vet told us to give her the same medication at home again two weeks later.
えーーーー！！
獣医さんでも苦戦したものを
私たちに出来る自信がない！！
What?!
The Vet struggled to do it,
so we don't have the confidence to do it! !
獣医さんは
もし家で飲ませることができなかったら
動物病院に連れてきてもいいよ、と言ってくれましたが
The vet told me that
if we couldn't get her to take it at home,
we could take her there....
but...
それって有料だよね・・・・
ちなみに今回のお会計は＄25でした
I gess it is not free.
By the way, the bill this time was $ 25.
錠剤を砕いてキャットフードに混ぜてもいいらしいので
そうしてみることにします
We seem to be able to crush the tablets and mix them into cat food, so we will try that.
