年末あたりから部屋がちょっと寒く感じていました
I was feeling our room a bit cold from the end of the year.
設定温度を上げてもなんか反応していないような・・・
It seems that the heating is not working well even if the set temperature is raised ...
我が家の暖房はアパート全体で稼働しているセントラルヒーティング
The heating in your room is a central heating running throughout the apartment.
もしかしたらアパート全体が調子が悪いのかもしれない
The whole apartment's heating system may be not working well.
年末年始で休みだし業者の人も年明けあたりに調節にくるのかな～と思っていました
I thought that now it's a holiday season, so the repair person would come to fix it around Jan 6.
しかし日に日に部屋が寒くなっているし、明日は土曜日だし、大家さんに連絡しようか迷っていました
However, our room was getting colder day by day, and tomorrow was Saturday.
I was wondering I should ask our landlord about that.
１Ｆにある郵便ポストを見に行くときに同じフロアの人と会ったので拙い英語で、暖房の調子はどうか？尋ねたら「うちは特に問題ないよ、大家さんに連絡した方がいいと思う」と言われたので、大家さんに連絡することにしました。
When I went to see the mail box on the 1st floor, I met a person on the same floor. So I asked her about that. She told "I don't have any particular problems, I think it's better to contact your landlord," so I decided to contact our landlord.
大家さんにテキストメッセージを送るとすぐに返信がきました
She replied to me as soon as I sent a text message to her.
返信内容は以下のとおり
” Let me check into it...I'll get back to you."
"They will come by today.They are working on the heating system in the building now. They will come by this afternoon to look at the heating in your unit.I will meet them.They will call me with a time, sometime between 11 and 3 today!"
ネイティブの人からのメールって勉強になる。
Text messages written by a native English speaker is good for me to learn English.
1時間半くらいで、業者の方と大家さんが一緒に部屋に来てくれました
About an hour and a half later, two repair men and she came to the room together.
業者の方が部屋に入った瞬間「No heating.」と言ったので、やっぱり故障していたようです
The moment two repair men and she entered our room, they said, "No heating.".
After all it seems that it was out of order.
その場で部品を交換してくれて、すぐに修理が完了しました。
They replaced them with new parts on the spot and the repair were completed immediately.
ちなみに
ネコちゃんは隠れることなく、興味深々で業者の人に近寄り、修理している様子を見つめていました
By the way,
Our cat was immensely curious about them and approached without hiding and staring at the state of repair.
遠くに離しても、近寄って行って・・・
Even if I took our cat away from them, she will soon approach them ...
ほんと、人見知りを全然しません(笑)
She isn't shy at all.
